Man of the Year Award in Education Goes to…..

We present you with the Man of the Year in Education!

When we followed the story of a young man revolutionizing Maths & Science in KZN, little did we know that we were interviewing the future Man of the Year Award winner.

The second TMS Issue featured a story about a gentleman who teaches Maths and Science in such a way that sees learners flooding his classes. Impressed learners respond in a way that we South Africans respond when something is overwhelmingly good and that is “giving it a title”. Mr Khangelani Sibiya has titles from “Babes we Maths” to the fitting ones such as “Master maths”, “Dr. Maths”, “Usolwazi” and many more, please read our latest issue for more on this man.

An Award winning Maths and Science Teacher

The man of the year Mr. KWV as he is affectionately known among his fellow colleagues is from today an award winning educator. This comes after he was nominated in the SA MEN OF THE YEAR AWARDS the Education category of which he triumphed. The highest award he has won thus far, adding to an already colorful career in education. Credit to the hardworking TMS team; they wrote an article on this man without any knowledge of this nomination; somehow this has plunged us into a bit of history.

We celebrate this victory with Mr. KWV, we celebrate with those learners and colleagues of his that contributed to everything happening now. We thank the Men of the Year Awards organizers for recognizing change makers in our schools. This is an encouragement for men to assume their responsibility and inspire society by playing a leading role in ensuring a prosperous environment where all thrive (something that the SA Idols loser Mthokozisi Ndaba needs to learn desperately).

Mr. Sibiya’s contribution to Maths and Science for Township and Rural Schools is second to none. Such a contribution is well deserving of an Award! The man is indeed a national asset and the Department of Education hopefully can associate themselves with him (Well TMS is still waiting on them for a partnership, so no guarantees on that one); but truth is that this man brings Love back to Maths and Science. Our Government is busy with Black Industrialists program Mr. Sibiya’s Maths and Science becomes a critical factor to the sustainability of this project.

TMS would like to congratulate Mr. KWV Sibiya on his achievements and we want to thank him for allowing us to be part of the winning story……We say So To Be!!!!!!!!!!
