Jesus

The name Jesus has become a centre of debates in many social settings. It has become a bit of a taboo topic with the rise of many other “acceptable” traditional religions that seem to embrace the dominant culture of that people group. This forced the government to move to regulate and initially remove Christianity from schools, allowing every other moral rot to be accepted and made law in educational institutions.

Young people have been left at the mercy of morally bankrupt individuals making laws that satisfy and promote promiscuity, unruliness and all kinds of dark evil practices. Too many government officials have taken their pants down literally to parade their private parts to whoever they are seducing, and those videos and pictures have been in the public eye much to the amusement of a morally decaying society.

These men and women are called “honourable” members of our Parliament, making laws that reflect their moral bankruptcy, BUT GOD!

I have written a lot in the past about these laws, where they are making condoms available in primary schools, wanting to build unisex toilets and advocating for alcohol to be sold on school premises! The agenda to kick Christianity out of schools is loud and clear, BUT GOD!

Jesus

At DUT, a lecture room full of students bursts into a worship song where students were on their knees praying to Jesus. There are many more videos and pictures of learners on their knees seeking Jesus.

South Africa is a Christian country and this will never change. Christianity does not have a glorified past, but that’s not on Christianity itself, that is on people who decided to misuse Christianity to achieve their evil ambitions as it is still happening today. When the government enforces these evil laws in schools, the answer is not to run away and create Christian schools. That is very noble and forms part of the solution, but it is not the only answer.

The answer is remaining in those schools and being persecuted for the name of Jesus Christ. For this will be the testimony to those who do not believe that Jesus is alive. Since Tag My School Magazine Head of Content started writing about God, our inbox has gone strangely dry. Many people have disassociated themselves with the magazine and that is perfectly fine, and that is the persecution we are prepared to go through, BUT GOD! On Sunday we had over 5000 readers in one day for the first time! Yes people have walked away, but this platform will thrive going forward.

The magazine will still tell your stories, whoever you are, Christian or not, we will still hold government accountable, and we will still be as aggressive against the social injustices, but at the same time recognizing that humanity without Jesus is a disastrous explosion with severe consequences as we have witnessed already.

Therefore, if you are a teacher, a learner, a student or a parent reading this, do not lose heart, God cannot be regulated or boxed by laws! And it is not the first time this happens, but be assured of this: every time the world tries to shut Jesus down, it is an opportunity for a testimony that He is alive through your kids, teachers, and parents involved in that school. It is an opportunity for your peers, colleagues who do not know Jesus to see Him through you! Jesus is in our schools, universities, and colleges and He’s ungoverned by any laws.
